Who are The Friendly Panda?
The Friendly Panda was set up to after we discovered a brilliant feat of nature whilst in Vietnam – the bamboo straw – and realised how this humble straw could potentially provide an alternative to the UK for the disposable plastic straw.
Well, as of 1st October 2020, the plastic straw has now mostly been banned but sadly, the worlds waste that is now endangering our wildlife, is the disposable mask. These are already being found in our countryside, waterways and beaches.
Whilst the disposable mask is a very necessary item in a lot of settings, for some of us reusable/washable masks are an excellent compromise. The Friendly Panda has continued to work with its suppliers in Vietnam and has a lovely collection of masks made using sustainable bamboo fabric. We have 7 different simple colours to compliment colourings and outfits and each mask benefits from nose wires, filter pockets and wooden toggle adjustable ear loops (to keep away from the plastic toggles). Each is supplied in a linen bag to help keep it clean.
